Verifying the identity of the sender

Example:
You are a department manager in a bank and you belong to a group of managers who communicate bank policies with each other on a regular basis. You receive a message bearing the name of a person who has not belonged to this group until now. Because you are dealing with highly confidential material you are allowed to exchange messages ONLY with people authenticated by the bank manager. Should you exchange information with the sender?
Safe-mailTM can give you the answer.

How?

  • Click the subject to open the message.
  • Above the text there is a box specifying information about the message.
  • Click Show Authentication.
  • If you see "Authentication: Bank Managers Name" then this person was authenticated to become a part of your closed group.
  • If you click the authenticator's name you will be able to see more information about the Authentication certificate given to that person.
  • The authentication tool enables you to verify the identity of the sender as a group member.
